1. Provider and scope

These draft terms describe the proposed relationship between the Burrow operator and people using its hosted calendar filtering service. They are not yet effective. The operator must finalize its identity, contacts, commercial status and any required acceptance process before relying on them.

Service
Burrow, a Daggmask project
Responsible operator
Legal name to be confirmed by the operator
Operator location
Sweden
Privacy and service contact
Contact email to be confirmed by the operator
Postal contact
Contact address and applicable disclosure requirements to be confirmed
Application hosting
Self-hosted using Coolify in Nuremberg, Germany. Infrastructure provider and backup locations to be confirmed.

“Burrow” or the “service” means the hosted application. “You” means its user. If you act for an organization, you must have authority to do so. The Privacy notice explains personal data processing; reading or accepting terms is not blanket consent to that processing.

2. Who may use Burrow

The service is intended for adults aged 18 or older who can enter a binding agreement. Use only calendars you are entitled to access, copy, process and disclose to the service and, when requesting AI analysis, to its AI provider. A publicly reachable URL does not by itself establish those rights.

Do not submit children’s information, regulated health records or other sensitive or confidential content for which the service is unsuitable. If you process someone else’s information, you must have the relevant authority and comply with your own notice and legal-basis obligations. These responsibilities do not remove the operator’s independent legal duties.

3. What the service does

Burrow retrieves an iCalendar feed, stores its event records, applies matching rules and serves filtered calendar subscriptions. It does not edit the original source calendar. Import limits currently include a 5 MB feed and 2,000 event records; other technical limits may be imposed to protect service availability.

Refreshing a source applies saved rules to imported changes. Automatic refresh depends on the operator configuring a scheduler. Downloading a filtered feed uses the last saved data and does not itself refresh the source. Your calendar app decides when it checks for changes. Recurring event series may be included or excluded as a whole.

The repository contains no payment or checkout feature. The operator must confirm whether the hosted service is free and whether any commercial terms apply. These terms do not authorize charging you. Any future paid offering must disclose prices, taxes, billing, cancellation and applicable withdrawal rights before a separate agreement is made.

4. Dashboard and subscription links

Burrow currently uses private URLs rather than account sign-in. Anyone with a dashboard link can view and manage that workspace. Anyone with a subscription link can read its filtered calendar content. Treat these links as credentials and share them only with people or calendar applications you trust.

You can regenerate or revoke subscription URLs through the dashboard. Doing so prevents future use of the old link but does not erase previously downloaded events. Dashboard-link recovery and rotation are not provided in this version. Contact the operator if you lose access or suspect exposure; recovery may be impossible without sufficient verification.

Manage the source provider’s permissions separately. Revoking a source URL does not remove data already stored in Burrow. Revoking a Burrow subscription does not delete the underlying calendar workspace.

5. AI suggestions and your review

Optional naming-pattern analysis uses OpenAI to produce proposed filter labels and rules. The analysis request sends sampled event titles and descriptions after partial redaction; personal information can remain. Review the AI disclosure before requesting it. Manual rule editing does not use AI.

The first validated nonempty analysis creates and applies filters automatically when none exist. Replacing existing filters asks for confirmation. Suggestions can be inaccurate, omit events or classify them incorrectly; validation checks rule structure, not factual correctness. Review saved rules and the events included in each subscription.

Burrow is a scheduling convenience. Do not rely on it as your only record of an examination, appointment, deadline, safety obligation or other important commitment. Verify important events with the original source. Do not use AI suggestions or classifications for decisions about employment, admissions, credit, healthcare, legal eligibility or other similarly consequential matters.

6. Acceptable use

You must not use Burrow to infringe privacy, confidentiality, intellectual property or other rights; access another person’s workspace without authorization; harvest private feeds; upload unlawful content; distribute malware; evade technical limits; or interfere with the service or its providers.

Do not use the service to infer protected personal traits, surveil people without a lawful basis, or make discriminatory or unlawful decisions. Automated access must respect reasonable published limits and must not impair availability. Responsible security testing requires prior authorization for intrusive testing; report suspected weaknesses through the service contact.

7. Your content and permissions

You retain whatever rights you or other rights holders have in imported calendars and your own rules. You grant the operator only the nonexclusive permission needed to retrieve, store, process, reproduce and deliver that content to operate the features you request, including sending the described sample for optional AI analysis and delivering feeds to holders of subscription URLs.

This permission does not transfer ownership, authorize advertising uses or authorize model training. It is limited by applicable privacy law and the Privacy notice. Any continuing storage after you stop using the service must have its own lawful justification and follow the stated retention policy; a content license does not override a valid deletion right.

Service branding, application materials and third-party software remain subject to their respective rights and licenses. Statutory rights and applicable open-source licenses are not restricted by these terms. Rights in AI-generated suggestions depend on applicable law; uniqueness and exclusive ownership are not guaranteed.

8. Personal data and organizational use

The Privacy notice describes storage, sharing, retention, security and individual rights. You must not treat these terms as a data processing agreement, a healthcare business associate agreement or approval for regulated data processing.

An organization that needs Burrow to act as its processor must agree the necessary processing instructions, confidentiality, security, subprocessor, assistance, deletion and transfer terms before importing personal data in that capacity. The operator must assess the actual controller/processor roles rather than assign them solely by a label in these terms.

9. Availability and changes

The service is at an early stage and may experience errors, maintenance or interruptions. Source feeds, networks, AI services and calendar clients can affect results. Keep access to your original calendar and copies of important information. No particular refresh interval or uninterrupted availability is promised unless separately agreed.

The operator may make reasonable changes to maintain security, comply with law or improve the service. Material reductions to agreed functionality or termination of the hosted service should receive reasonable advance notice and an opportunity to retrieve data where practicable, except where urgent security or legal circumstances prevent that. Mandatory consumer rights concerning digital services, conformity and changes continue to apply.

10. Stopping use, suspension and deletion

You can stop using Burrow at any time and remove its subscriptions from your calendar apps. Revoke unwanted subscription links in the dashboard. Full workspace deletion currently requires operator assistance; stopping use does not automatically remove the stored workspace or disable configured refreshes.

The operator may restrict a workspace where reasonably necessary to address unlawful use, a material breach, security threats or abuse. Where lawful and practicable, it should explain the reason, allow you to respond or remedy the issue and provide a reasonable route to retrieve your information. Any restriction must respect applicable legal requirements.

Deletion and remaining copies are governed by the Privacy notice and applicable law. Legitimate requests must not be made conditional on waiving legal rights. Terms concerning rights, lawfully retained information and existing disputes apply only as far as needed after use ends.

11. Responsibility and mandatory rights

The service is provided with the limitations described above. To the extent permitted by applicable law, no additional promise is made that every event will be accurate, complete or suitable for every use. This does not exclude statutory warranties, required security duties or remedies for a failure to provide an agreed digital service.

Nothing in these terms excludes or limits liability where doing so is unlawful, including applicable liability for fraud, intentional misconduct, gross negligence, death or personal injury, or nonwaivable consumer and data protection rights. There is no blanket release of privacy claims, mandatory arbitration, class-action waiver or requirement that you indemnify the operator in these terms. Liability otherwise follows applicable law; no arbitrary monetary cap is imposed by this draft.

12. EU and US consumers

If you are a consumer, mandatory protections in your place of residence remain available, including applicable rights to a conforming digital service, remedies, refunds, cancellation and withdrawal. Where a statutory withdrawal period applies, these terms do not waive it or deem it lost merely because you import a calendar. Any legally necessary consent to immediate performance or acknowledgment of loss of withdrawal rights must be obtained separately.

If you have a complaint, contact the operator using the service contact once published. You may also use a competent consumer authority, regulator, dispute-resolution body or court. Consumers in Sweden can consult Konsumentverket and, for eligible disputes within its scope, Allmänna reklamationsnämnden (ARN). Eligibility and procedural rules apply; this does not assert that the operator participates in every voluntary dispute-resolution scheme.

13. Law and disputes

For the proposed Swedish-operated service, these terms are intended to be governed by Swedish law, subject to the mandatory protections that apply to you. A choice of Swedish law cannot deprive an EU consumer of mandatory protections available under the law that would otherwise apply in their country of habitual residence.

Disputes may be brought before a court with jurisdiction under applicable law. These terms do not impose an exclusive Swedish venue on consumers, restrict rights to complain to regulators or shorten statutory limitation periods.

14. Updates and contact

The draft date and status appear at the top. Final terms need an effective date and a clear opportunity to review and accept them where required. Later material changes should be explained in advance and accepted where necessary; continuing to hold a subscription URL is not treated here as automatic acceptance of every future amendment.

If a provision is unenforceable, the remaining terms apply only to the extent permitted by law; an unfair consumer term is not automatically rewritten to maximize the operator’s protection. No failure to enforce a term removes either party’s statutory rights.

Contact information remains pending in the provider section. Do not send secret feed URLs or subscription credentials in ordinary correspondence unless a secure, necessary verification process has been agreed.
